  This marzipan pyramid cake consists in fruit cake covered with a layer of cream colored marzipan.   pyramid cake picture        
           
           
  The marzipan pyramids are made using the same cream marzipan that has been used to cover the cake. Since all the cake is the same color, form becomes predominant in determining the overall appearance of the cake.

    Marzipan pyramid   The pyramids are made entirely out of marzipan, they started off as a spheres of cream marzipan and are gradually moulded into a cone shape. Once the cone shape was achieved the four sides of the pyramid were pressed approximately into the cone, the shape was than progressively flattened until four equal sides were formed. Once the pyramid shape was ready final detailing could be applied.
